ROMPER ruffle satin romper (wearing size xs + under $50) | SHOES light pink platform slides | HOOPS silver crescent hoops (vintage find from New Mexico- linked dupes that I own in gold) | BAG LV neverful tote | LIPS ‘zurich’ liquid lipstick
It has been the most lovely weekend in the Bay Area. Not only has it been super sunny, but it has also been pretty warm (which is not always a luxury we get- especially in SF!). In celebration of the beautiful weather, I had to break out my new, favorite romper that I shared on my ‘Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Picks 2017‘ post. This piece definitely has to be one of my favorite purchases from the sale this year! I actually tried it on in stores in both a small and medium (as I shared on my snapchat last weekend), but both sizes were just a little too big. I ordered the XS and was elated to get it in the mail yesterday! It’s perfect! I would definitely say that this romper does run pretty true to size – a tad bit big if anything. This piece would be great for tall gals because it isn’t super, super short like a lot of rompers out there tend to be. I think it’s super flattering, and I absolutely love the tie waist. It really reminds me a lot of the Show Me Your Mumu riri rompers, but for a fraction of the price. I love a good romper, especially one with a little bit of ruffle detailing. I don’t think I own anything else in this color, but it’s such a gorgeous rose hue (that actually doesn’t wash me out). It will look beautiful with a tan, sun hat, and sandals for the rest of the summer, but I am excited to wear it in fall with a leather jacket and over the knee boots. My very favorite thing about this romper though is the stunning fabric. I never considered ever adding anything satin to my wardrobe, but I am so glad I finally did. It really gives the romper a romantic feel that works for both day and night. Unfortunately this romper is sold out at the moment because the sale opened to the public yesterday (however, I have linked a few more ruffled/satin rompers below!). Things tend to sell out crazy fast on the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, but luckily things do come in and out of stock (especially when people make returns). Definitely keep an eye out for this must-have because the Anniversary Sales continues on until the end of the first week of August!
To keep the look casual and day-time ready, I paired the romper with my favorite tote bag, pink slip ons, and vintage silver hoops. I shared these platform slides on my ‘Better in Blush‘ post, and I have been loving them. Millennial pink is going to be such a hot color for the rest of 2017, and I am always down to incorporate just a splash of it into any look. I’ve always been a fan of monochromatic ensembles, and I love how both pinks tie together for a girly, yet still laid back look.
I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!
