Aloha & happy Tuesday. I wanted to share some pics from my latest adventure (aka two weeks, but we can pretend it was sooner than that). Though my family and I have visited the beautiful and breathtaking island of Maui almost ten times now, we have never done the ‘Road to Hana’. We’ve had so many friends tell us over the years to try it out, but we were always so hesitant because my mom and sister always get very car sick. This year we said ‘YOLO’ and decided to give it a try. Luckily, nobody ended up getting sick- and most importantly, we found the World’s BEST banana bread (which let’s be real.. that was kinda the main purpose of the trip). On our little road trip, we got to see so many stunning waterfalls and gorgeous views. We even saw Mick Fleetwood when we were taking pics of one of the waterfalls. Definitely still starstruck to say the least.

For the trip, my sister wore a tropical, tie top, denim shorts, and cactus espadrilles (which I also own!). I wore my mom’s white tank along with my go-to denim shorts, birkenstocks, and a long, breezy kimono. For the hiking portion, we both changed into tennis shoes. If you are planning on doing the Road to Hana, I would highly recommend bringing a rain jacket – we got rained on pretty much the entire time (hence the hair situation). Though we didn’t do every single that the Road to Hana has to offer, here were a few of our personal highlights:

Banana bread from Hana Farms

Black sand beach

Seven Sacred Pools

Coconut Glen’s Ice Cream (vegan!!)

Thai Food by Pranee

If you’re looking for other things to do on the island of Maui, here is the little travel guide I wrote two years ago during my last trip!

xoxo,

Mackenzie
