Top 5 Favorite Lush Bath Products

lushbath

Happy Thursday! As a blogger, it’s only natural to check your analytics. Over the past nine months of blogging here on mackenziekendall, I have noticed my most popular post ever is ‘The Lush Lowdown- part 1“. It makes me so happy to know I am not the Lush addict around here! Because so many of y’all are interested in hearing reviews about Lush products, I decided to share my top five favorite Lush products for the bath, which has been highly requested.

If you’ve used Lush products before, you know that they truly make your bath an ‘experience‘. Taking a bath or shower without any Lush products is just not the same; I am totally addicted. I’ve tried so many Lush products over the years, and these have been my all time favorites:

#1 – The Bubble Bar

I remember when I walked into Lush for the very first time, I felt beyond overwhelmed. I had no idea what ‘Bubble Bars’ were, let alone that there was a difference between a ‘Bubble Bar’ and a ‘Bath Bomb’. They all looked the same to me. After trying both of these fabulous products for years, I have to say the Bubble Bar takes first place for me. Bubble Bars are described on the Lush website as:

Gorgeous, frothy and fragrant bubbles are at your fingertips with our solid Bubble Bars. Crumbling one of these self-preserving bars under the running tap will reveal heaps of bubbles with Hollywood proportions for a luxurious, inviting bath. The only thing that might make your bath even better? Adding candles, a soundtrack and maybe a bathing companion, of course.

Lush is so saucy. Haha. Anyways, when it comes to using the Bubble Bar, I like to cut them into 3-4 pieces.  I use one piece per bath typically, and I crumble each piece under the warm running water. It creates so many bubbles that smell incredible. In addition, I feel like Bubble Bars are definitely worth the money because you can use each one for several baths. I typically get about four baths out of each Bubble Bar, but that completely depends on how many bubbles you prefer.

If you are having a hard time deciding on which Bubble Bar to pick up, you can’t go wrong with my personal favorite, The Comforter (pictured above). It smells slightly like bubblegum, and it is so girly. My second favorite is definitely Rose Jam Bubbleroon. It looks just like a giant macaroon, and it smells just like the other Lush Rose Jam scents. I also think Karma is a great Bubble Bar that has a very unique fragrance. If you love citrus scents, go with Brightside.

#2 Bath Bomb

Lush definitely makes the best bath bombs on the market. With a variety of scents and colors, there is definitely a Bath Bomb for everyone. They make your bath look gorgeous and add a lovely fragrance. I think they are so fun to watch as well! You can definitely use them in conjunction with a Bubble Bar, which is what I tend it do. The Bath Bombs are described on the Lush website as:

We take bathtime seriously – seriously fun, that is. Settle in for a good soak with an original Lush invention, exploding with essential oils, flower petals and tons of fizzy fun. Whether you’re after a relaxing, petal-laden floral soak or an invigorating multilayered explosion of color and scent, there’s a bath bomb perfect for every bathing experience.

My favorite Bath Bomb of all times is 100% Guardian of the Forest. I picked one up at the Lush Flagship store this summer, and I was beyond excited when it hit stores in the states. Guardian of the Forest turns the water a gorgeous green color and smells like a heavenly, earthy forest. It is by far my favorite, and I can definitely see this one being a great unisex bath bomb. My second favorite one is Lord of Misrule (pictured above), which is a seasonal Bath Bomb. If you have smelled any Lush Lord of Misrule products, you know just how unique this scent is. I always stock up every single fall. It creates an awesome pink/green bath. If you are stuck on choosing a Bath Bomb, you can’t go wrong with The Experimenter (SO fun), Sex Bomb, Frozen, or Intergalactic. They all are great, but it just comes down to which fragrance you prefer.

#3 Shower Cream

I seriously love the Lush Shower Creams. They are so incredibly moisturizing, and they smell amazing. I really love to use these in the winter when my skin is dry. There seem to be a lot more ‘Shower Gel’ options at Lush, but when I find Shower Creams, I always snatch them up. They are a lot thicker and creamier than the gels, and I love the fragrance options that they do have.

Lord of Misrule is definitely my favorite one. It is seasonal, but I love to use it year round. They also make the Comforter in a shower cream, which is a very girly, bubble-gum scent. The limited edition scent right is Prince Charming, which is a ‘creamy pomegranate and vanilla wash’. This would make a great Valentine’s Day gift *wink, wink*.

#4 Soap

Every time I go into a Lush store, I have to pick up and smell every single soap in the store. It’s just a habit that I am not even slightly embarrassed about. The Lush soaps are so beautiful, so I always love to give them as gifts. I have tried several of them most of them, and Sultana of Soap (pictured above) is seriously the best. Initially, it looks so boring and kind of lame. I won’t even try to deny that. You may pick it up in the store, and think ‘eh’. But I can assure you that this soap is far from ‘eh’. I don’t think I could estimate how many Sultana of Soaps I have purchased,  but I am so glad that a Lush employee talked me into trying out this soap last year. It is so incredibly creamy and moisturizing, and I feel like I don’t even need to apply lotion after my bath/shower. It also has a really nice, warm fragrance that is very unique to me. The only downside to Lush soaps is that I feel like they don’t last you very long. I get about a month of use out of each soap slice, but to me, they are definitely still worth trying out. The Lush soaps are described on the site as:

We’re proud to be known as “that smelly soap shop”! Our handmade sudsers (often mistaken for fancy cheese in our shop windows) are chock-full of fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs and oils that work wonders on your skin and fill our showers with intoxicating scents.

Another one of my favorite Lush soaps would have to be Sandstone. This one too appears to be very ‘eh’, but I do love it. It doesn’t have much of a fragrance, but it is very, very exfoliating. I love to use this one before spray tanning! I am also a huge fan of the Miranda soap. It’s very pretty and has a very nice, subtle fruity scent. If you are torn on which soap, Karma and Honey, I Washed the Kids are both very popular options that have very strong, but awesome, scents.

#5 Shower Gel

Last, but certainly not least, the Lush Shower Gel definitely falls into my top five favorite bath products. These are by far my favorite shower gels to use in the shower as a body wash or under the running water for a bath. If you’ve read my previous Lush posts, you know that Rose Jam is my favorite Lush fragrance. When I heard they were releasing Rose Jam in a Shower Gel, my sister and I dashed to the closest Lush store to pick up a large bottle. The Rose Jam fragrance is my absolute favorite, and it’s something you need to go try out for yourself! It’s such a gorgeous scent, and I have never been able to find anything just like it.

My second favorite Shower Gel would be ‘Don’t Rain on my Parade’. This specific Shower Gel happens to be my sister’s favorite. She purchased a small one at the Flagship store when she came to visit me at LSE. After getting back to the states, she called me and told me to buy her like five more bottles because she was so obsessed (it wasn’t available in the US at the time). Luckily, they released this jewel a few months ago, and I love the fragrance. It has a berry scent that is very refreshing. My grandma’s favorite Lush Shower Gel is ‘Happy Hippy’. It’s a really nice grapefruit fragrance that I think a lot of people would really, really enjoy. ‘Beautiful’ is a nice scent as well that I think a lot of people would really enjoy. It’s very sparkly and has a very nice, subtle peach and apricot fragrance. It’s perfect for summer and spring, in my opinion.

Honorable mentions:

In addition to these five listed above, I also love the Lush Luxury Bath Melts. I wouldn’t say these are a ‘must have’, but they are always nice to pick up. They leave your skin really moisturized, but they aren’t really fun or exciting like the Bath Bombs and Bubble Bars. My favorite Bath Melt is ‘Shark Infested Custard’, which I hoping they will bring to the US in the future. There are so many awesome bath melts at the Flagship store, but there aren’t too many choices here in the US.

I hope y’all enjoyed this Lush post! I’ve linked my other Lush reviews at the bottom for you to check out if you are interested. If you ever have any specific Lush reviews you would like to see, please let me know! I would also love to know which specific Lush products you love to use in the bath- I always love finding new faves!

xoxo
