Taylor and I met back in 5th or 6th grade (I can’t even remember because that seems so long ago), and we have been besties ever since. Taylor is one of those rare-gem kind of friends, always making me laugh and always having my back (and always putting up with me- even through my very scary middle school emo phase). It’s been such a blessing to have her in the Bay Area with me this summer. We’ve had so much fun exploring the city, trying new foods, and taking road trips. This past Saturday, our last Saturday together this summer (inserts crying face emoji), we took the train to the city to go on a brewery tour! A brewery tour was an idea that never crossed my mind, but when Taylor suggested it a few weeks, I though ‘why not? Yolo’.

Though I am not a huge beer fan myself, it was so interesting to see the beer making process. We toured the Anchor Brewing Company factory that recently celebrated their 120 year anniversary. We sampled several different beers and made some good memories. For our little outing, I wore a suede bodysuit, cold shoulder sweater, and printed skater skirt. All paired with my favorite black booties, of course. My outfit choice wasn’t exactly the smartest idea because it was freezing in the city, but luckily we were inside for the tour. I really love the bodysuit trend, surprisingly enough. It’s definitely out of my comfort zone, especially with this specific one being a little scandy. I’ve always been self conscious of my chest, but I’ve been trying to branch out this year and dive into plunging necklines. It’s always fun to try out new trends and experiment a little with fashion! I think this outfit would be perfect for a night out, especially paired with a leather jacket. Taylor rocked a bodysuit as well. All in all, it was a fun trip to SF. If you ever are in the Bay Area, brewery tours are a must do!

Let’s Be Tourists

IMG_5399

Happy Friday! This past weekend, my friends and I headed up to the city to be ‘tourists’ in our own temporary home. We started our day off with a trip to the famous Ghirardelli Factory to have a totally worth-our-calories lunch. After eating a billion pounds of chocolate, we went to the Golden Gate Bridge to snap a few touristy pics and walk across the bridge. For dinner, we headed to Fisherman’s Wharf for some seafood. For our day trip adventure, I wore my new favorite ‘hands off my succulent’ tee paired with my black western booties.

I am so thankful for the friendships this summer, both new and old. [I am also thankful for friends that put up with my constant photo-taking- y’all rock!]. Tomorrow my dad is flying to SF to come visit me/help me move out. Leaving next weekend will be bittersweet. More bitter than sweet, in all honesty [which I will be diving into next week in a ‘summer summary’ post]. However, I am appreciating every single second left of this summer dream.

xoxo,

Mackenzie

Little White Romper

Hello friends & happy Monday! I hope you had an amazing weekend. Yesterday, I had the opportunity to shoot with a local photographer named Baldwin. We had such a blast shooting pictures around the city, and I wanted to share a few of my favorites! Baldwin is beyond talented & you should definitely check out his instagram @baldwinner.
