Hello friends! It hit me pretty recently that it has been quite a while since the last time I did a haul. Sephora is my guilty pleasure; I love picking up old favorites along with testing out new products that catch my eye. Though I love going into the actual Sephora stores and swatching 500 different colors on my hands, online shopping is just a lot more realistic route for me. One thing I love about Sephora is the option to select free samples and snag different promos with every order. The free two-day shipping as a VIP rouge is a big selling point for me as well. When it comes to beauty retailers, I am pretty biased. About three weeks ago I ordered a few things from Sephora, and I wanted to share my thoughts and opinions today on the products I picked up!
Happy Friday! I recently found out that I’ll be heading off to Dubai & India in just a few weeks for winter break! While I absolutely love traveling and seeing the world, I can’t deny that ten hours plane flights aren’t very fun. During my time on long flights, I love to watch movies and listen to music since I struggle with sleeping on planes. When Optoma reached out to me about sending me a pair of their NuForceBE6i Wireless Bluetooth earphones, I figured now would be the perfect time to test them out and see if they would be something I could take on my upcoming trip. After trying them out for the past fews day, I can confidently say that these earphones will be the perfect must-haves for my upcoming trip.
When I am not traveling, I pretty much live in the Library on my college campus. It can be really helpful to play music while you’re cramming for exams and finals [I personally love to listen to study music/alpha waves]. In the past, I have always just used the earphones that came with my iPhone. While they were sufficient, I always got annoyed with the fact that they were always in a tangled mess at the bottom of my backpack.
I really like that these NuForce BE6i earphones are wireless. So cheers to no more tangled cords (score!). They are also Bluetooth, and I found it VERY easy to synch them up with my phone in less than a minute. The Bluetooth capabilities are fantastic, and I found that I could still hear my music if I walked downstairs in my house without my phone. I’ve been dying to get my hands on the iPhone 7 (mostly because of the amazing camera/lens, let’s be real). When I upgrade at some point over the next year, I know these earphones will be perfect because the iPhone 7 does not come with a headphone jack. So for those with the iPhone 7, these earphones are a great pick if you are looking for wireless ones.
Now let’s talk about the sound, the important thing here. I really love listening to music, whether I am on camous, relaxing in my room, or on the go. For me, sound is important when it comes to earphones. During my first use of these earphones, I noticed a huge, huge difference in the quality of the sound compared to my Apple earphones. Another thing I enjoyed about these earphones is the fact that they come in different size silicon ear tips. In the past, I have always been frustrated with earbuds being too big to fit in my ears. So for these, I use the smallest size silicon ear tips, and they fit perfectly! So that is a small perk that makes a huge difference for me.
These earphones also come with a nice carrying case, which is something I really like. It’s very sturdy, so it keeps the earphones protected when you’re on the go. I also like that there’s a little key ring on the side, so you can clip them to the inside of your purse or onto your backpack for accessibility.
Because these earphones are Bluetooth, they have to be charged, which is kind of a downside for me. However, the charge does last eight hours, which is impressive, in my opinion. I also like that I can easily charge them plugged into my laptop. The charging cord is a perfect length and is easy to store in the case

I honestly have been really enjoying these earphones (a lot more than I expected, to be completely honest). They are very comfortable, durable, sleek and convenient. I find them to be incredibly high quality, and I also really like the sound that they produce. These earphones really fit my needs and lifestyle, so for me, they are a great thing to have for both school and travel. I know that I will definitely be getting a ton of use out of these, and I can’t wait to use them on my upcoming trip!

CONS:
They have to be charged
Not the best for working out. I tried to run in these & found them slipping out of my ear a little. However, NuForce does make Bluetooth Wireless earphones that are more targeted for working out (the NuForce BE Sport3). My pair is specifically for more ‘lifestyle’ use, so these may not be the best fit if you are searching for earphones to use when working out.
A little on the pricy side ($129). Though still more affordable than other wireless earphones on the market.

Gone are the days of holding my heavy blow dryer above my head for an hour, only to end up with frizzy, dry hair. Every year for Christmas, my sister and I get ‘one big gift’. When I told my parents that I wanted a blow dryer for my ‘one big gift’, they were beyond confused. I have very long, course, wavy hair that I have a love/hate relationship with. Though I do actually like my hair, the one thing that I completely despise about it is how long it takes to dry after washing it. One morning this semester at college, I washed my hair, got dressed, and headed to the library to spend my Sunday cramming for finals. When I came back home that evening, my roommates were like ‘Your hair is wet.. didn’t you wash it this morning?! Like 8 hours ago’. Yes. Yes, I did. On average, my hair takes over 3 hours to air dry. Ain’t nobody got time for that. I’ve purchased drugstore blow dryers in the past, but that still took an hour to dry my hair with, leaving my arms aching. I was always so unsatisfied with the end result.
For about a year now, I’ve thought about investing in a ‘high end’ blow dryer. So Christmas was the perfect time to finally get a nice blow dryer that would hopefully make my life a little easier. About two weeks ago, I posted a snapchat selfie on my public account (mackenzieken) of me with wet hair. Then 7 minutes later, I posted another selfie of me with completely dry hair, and tons of y’all asked questions about this magic. I have to give all the credit to this hair dryer. Now, drying my hair is a piece of cake. It takes about 10 minutes on average to completely dry my hair with the Drybar buttercup, and that’s incredible. It also leaves my hair so soft, smooth, and shiny. In the past, blow drying my hair always made my hair feel dryer and frizzier than it was to begin with. However, this blow dryer actually makes my hair feel and look better than it did in the past. I love this blow drier because I also don’t have to use direct heat on my hair (via flat iron, curling iron, etc.) after because it does such an incredible job on its own of making my hair look great. I like to use the blow dryer with the nozzle (that it comes with) and the round brush. I always started by blotting my wet hair with a tshirt before using the blow dryer. Then I apply a little product. I’m always completely blown away – no pun intended – with the results after each use. Even some of my friends noticed a difference in my hair, and several of them accused me of wearing hair extensions like I did back in high school. The only change I’ve made is using the Drybar Buttercup, but the difference is definitely noticeable.
If you are considering buying a high end hair dryer and you struggle with coarse, frizzy hair that never dries, definitely, definitely look into the Drybar Buttercup. I would highly recommend it, and it has completely changed the amount of time I have to spend on my hair. The only complaint I would have is that sometimes it randomly blows out cold air (like can you not plz). It’s always a little random and strange, but it’s not too big of a deal. When I was reading reviews of this product on Sephora, I saw a few other customers mention the same little weird issue. It doesn’t bother me at all. The only other con would be the price, of course. I always do a ton of research on products before splurging, and I read tons of reviews before choosing the Drybar Buttercup. I would highly recommend reading other reviews for yourself.

So in summary, I am so happy about the Drybar blow dryer. It has made my life so much easier, and I would highly recommend it if you are looking to splurge on a high end blow dryer. This blow dryer has really, really worked for my personally, and I’m a big fan. It’s so fantastic, and now every day can be a good hair day.
