Hello & happy Sunday! Mother’s Day is next Sunday!! Can you believe it’s already just around the corner? I am so incredibly thankful for my mom and everything that she does for me. Henna

For our first day exploring New Delhi, we started by enjoying lunch with one of my college professors (that teaches at Ole Miss, but is originally from India). He took us to one of his favorite local restaurants, and we really enjoyed trying a variety of Indian dishes. It was awesome to get to spend time in India with one of my college professors!

After our eventful lunch, we headed to the India Gate. The India Gate, a gorgeous monument located in New Delhi, was such a wonderful late afternoon visit. There was tons of street food and good people watching. Allie and I couldn’t resist getting street henna done, which was a really unique experience. We also found it really amusing that locals wanted to take pictures with us during our time at the India Gate. This was something we also experienced during our time traveling in China back when I was in middle school! Pretty funny!

For our day exploring New Delhi, I wore a white midi skirt paired with a denim top and lace up sandals. In India, they are quite conservative with their attire, so I felt very comfortable with my knees and shoulders covered. Allie wore a long skirt and sleeved top as well!

Stay tuned for more pics from our most recent adventure 🙂

Happy One Year!

oneyearsquare

*Inserts cute picture of myself with a balloon*. HAPPY ONE YEAR. It feels like just yesterday I was dabbling around on WordPress, possibly cussing under my breath at the computer in a haze of technological confusion. I can’t say blogging made a whole lot of sense at first, and to be honest, at times it still doesn’t. But that doesn’t mean I love it any less. Blogging has given me so much; it has given me confidence, and joy, and the most magnificent creative outlet. Most importantly, blogging has taught me such an abundant amount. Over this past year, I have grown so much and I have learned more than I could have ever imagined. It’s absolutely crazy to think back at who I was a year from now and how life was in general. Things change so much, but that change can be so beautiful.

I wanted to take the time to thank you. Thank you for supporting me, loving me, and encouraging me- through my flaws and mistakes and all. Last May, I started this blog as an almost ‘transition’ from Tumblr. Thank you to the many that have followed my life over the past three years through Tumblr. Thank you to the new friends that have recently joined this journey [I am so glad you’re here!]. And thank you to those that have somehow stumbled upon my tiny corner of the internet over the past twelve months. I can’t even express in words how much it truly means to me. I am so thankful for each and every one of you. I really, really am. So cheers to one year of ‘official blogging’ and to many more incredible years to come.

xoxo,

Mackenzie

So you’ve decided you want to start a blog, but you aren’t quite sure where to begin.. I know the feeling.

Blogging can be such a fun & exciting creative outlet. It’s a fantastic way to share your ideas and life. I’ve really enjoyed blogging, and it has been the most incredible learning experience for me personally. Almost every single day, I get texts from friends at college along with tons of messages on Tumblr about how to start your own blog/website. Blogging is most definitely for anyone and everyone.

I first got into blogging in May of 2015. I absolutely love Tumblr, but I wanted to try something different and experience something completely out of my comfort zone. One of my favorite parts of blogging in general is creating the look and feel of your blog! Creating a blog is so fun, and though it can be overwhelming and confusing at first, it’s such a rewarding and cool experience! Here are some tips for starting your own blog:
