Starry Eyed

on Allie: star print tunic | ripped jeans (under $100) | converse • on me: star print crop top (last year’s print- linked top in another pattern) | swing shorts (last year’s print- linked shorts in another pattern) | denim jacket | converse | hoops (sold out- linked similar)

I know what you’re thinking. ‘Girrrlll, wasn’t 4th of July like more than a week ago?!”. Yes. Yes, it was, my friends. I completely forgot about these little pics from my trip to New Mexico, so I decided better late than never. When my sister and I were little, we always wore matching outfits. There was rarely a time you could find us with different bows in our hair, let alone in an outfit that didn’t at least coordinate. So like the semi-obnoxious sisters that we still are, we had to match for our weekend together. If you have been following me for a while, you may remember these star print shorts that I wore last year on the 4th of July. I have no problem being an outfit repeater, especially when I have a piece I really, really love. Allie picked up this year’s star print goodie- this amazing peta tunic. My star print shorts have always been a fave of mine, but I absolutely love the pattern in red! Not only was the tunic perfect for the holiday festivities, but it will also be amazing thrown over a bathing suit for the beach.

I paired my little set with a distressed denim jacket, blue hoop earrings, and white converse. I rarely switch up my hairstyle (as you’ve probably observed by now), but I was really feelin braids. Allie paired the tunic with distressed, denim jeans (my mom and I both own the same exact pair as well!) and white converse. We had so much fun collecting pieces of candy at the parade and spending time with our grandparents. It can be hard living thousands of miles away from my sister and my extended family, but it makes the time spent with them even sweeter.

I hope that you all are having a fabulous July so far!

xoxo,

Mackenzie
