March Wishlist + Recent Purchases

Hello & happy Sunday! It’s raining & gloomy here in Mississippi today, so I thought I’d compile some pieces I’ve had on my radar lately (along with some recent purchases). Brands are starting to release their new spring collections, and it makes me beyond elated. I can’t deny that I am ready for the warm weather and bright colors ahead. I am especially loving all the hues of pink and blue that I’ve been seeing lately.

On my wishlist, I have some basics staples, some pops of color, and a beauty lust in mind. I’ve been quite good about saving money the past few months, so I feel like it’s about time for a mini shopping spree with spring just around the corner (technically 15 days, but hey, who’s counting?). I’ve already purchased a few of these gems, and I’ve discussed each piece below!

Without further ado, friends, here are some pieces on my March wishlist:

1. SKINNY JEANS busted skinny jeans (under $100)| 2. SUNNIES tortoise butterfly sunglasses (under $15) | 3. SUNNIES pale pink cat eye sunglasses (under $15)| 4. MAXI SKIRT pale pink maxi skirt (under $50) | 5. GLOW KIT abh x nicole guerriero glow kit | 6. PRINTED TOP spell & the gypsy printed blouse (currently sold out) | 7. STRAW CLUTCH sunshine straw clutch | 8. TASSEL EARRINGS pale blue piñata tassel earrings | 9. PINK SANDALS pink yaro heels (on sale!)

one. skinny jeans

A lot of y’all have been asking about the white, ripped skinny jeans I debuted on my snapchat last week. I purchased them from FP, and I am in love. Absolutely head over heels & in love. If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I seldom purchase or wear jeans. However, I absolutely adore these ripped skinny jeans. They are super flattering and very comfortable. I love the placement of the large rips as well. Though I haven’t had the chance to wear my white ones yet, I am already planning to purchase another pair for spring because I adore them that much. I am thinking about snagging the light denim since I do not own any regular blue denim jeans, but I also love the pale pink color as well.

P.S. On a side note, size up for these jeans! I am typically a size 25 in jeans, but after reading all the reviews on Free People, I decided to opt for a 26. I am so glad I did because the 26’s fit perfectly!

two & three. sunnies

Every spring, I always purchase two pairs of affordable sunglasses. I can not keep up with sunglasses for the life of me, so I always opt for affordable, cheap sunnies that won’t lead to the end of the world if they break or disappear into the black hole that all missing sunglasses seem to fall into. I actually just ordered these two sunnies from Nordstrom, and I am so excited to get them in the mail! I think they both are very different and sassy, but not too crazy or overwhelming. I’ve also included some other affordable sunnies I love at the bottom!

four. maxi skirt

I saw this gorgeous skirt on LoneStarSouthern‘s blog last week and knew immediately I needed it in my closet. So I ordered it right away and no buyer’s remorse here, girls. I think the skirt is absolutely gorgeous for any spring time event, and I could also see it being a work-friendly piece as well. I love the soft pale pink color, and I definitely plan on pairing it with a white top and sandal heels. It also comes in blue too!

five. glow kit

Highlighters are my guilty pleasure. I’ll go ahead and put that one out there. Though I own more highlighters than I ‘d like to admit, I am always trying out new ones. When this new ABH x Nicole Guerriero glow kit hit www.sephora.com last week, I immediately fell in love. After watching probably twenty YouTube reviews, my feelings were confirmed. I love how unique this palette is- especially the beautiful rose gold and peach tones. This is totally a palette I can see myself wearing on a daily basis, especially in the summer with a tan! I also think this palette would make for a perfect b-day gift too (wink, wink).

six. printed top

I have been lusting for anything & everything from the brand Spell & the Gypsy lately. The brand is sold on Revolve, Free People, and PlanetBlue (three of my fave places to shop), and the prints are just stunning. I actually ordered this blouse on PlanetBlue (and got 20% off- score!), and I am beyond excited to wear it. It was definitely a huge splurge for me, but it is absolutely beautiful, and I think it would be perfect for senior pictures or date night. I ordered this top in an XS, and it fits perfectly (and just the right amount of oversized). Spell & the Gypsy is such an incredible brand, and I can’t believe I finally own a piece from them!

seven. straw clutch

I have not purchased a new bag in what feels like forever (maybe over a year ago? I can’t even remember- I’m typically a shoe-gal myself). When I saw this straw clutch from HatAttack, I knew it would be the perfect spring/summer investment. I love clutches, and I tend to prefer them over large purses or bags- especially for nights out and travel. I absolutely love straw as well because it can be paired with both brown and black. Best part? It can also be worn as a crossbody too!

eight. tassel earrings

Can a girl ever have too many tassel earrings? Probably not. I absolutely love the gorgeous power-blue hue of these tassel earrings. BaubleBar can do no wrong in my book, and I love how affordable the brand is (did anybody else see they recently collaborated with Target? swoon.)! I think these earrings would be especially beautiful with an all white outfit or a black sundress to really add a seasonal pop of color.

nine. pink sandals

I. Love. These. Heels. When I saw them a few weeks ago, I immediately fell in love. I absolutely LOVE the pink color of these sandal heels from Sam Edelman (just said love a little too many times, but no shame). I think they would be so fun for work, especially with a neutral outfit. As a shoe addict myself, I love fun, unique shoes that really add something special to any outfit. These sandals are no exception- definitely top on my wishlist this season!

Thanks for checking out my blog!

xoxo,

Mackenzie
