Graduation

Hello friends & happy Monday! I hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend! This past Saturday, I graduated college from the University of Mississippi. College flew by crazy, crazy fast, and I can not believe I am officially an alumni! It still blows my mind.

I am so grateful for all of the people in my life that encouraged me and supported me over the past four years. I couldn’t have made it to the finish line without their tenacious and steadfast love. I am also grateful that I had the opportunity to go to college, and it is not something that I take for granted. Though it is never easy closing a chapter of a book, I could not be more excited for the adventures ahead. I will be starting my journey to California next week, and I can’t wait to see what’s to come!

My ENTIRE family came to my graduation this year, and it was amazing that they drove all the way from Texas to celebrate with me! We lucked out with the weather!!

on me: DRESS denim shift (size 0- fits true to size)| WEDGES nude daisy wedges (on sale!!) | EARRINGS white beaded earrings // on my sister: DRESS lace midi dress | NECKLACE vintage choker (linked similar) // on my mom: DRESS lace midi dress (linked similar) | WEDGES nude wedges (linked similar) | EARRINGS white ball earrings

If you read my graduation dress guide post, you probably know I ordered two different dresses for graduation. Unfortunately, neither of the dresses fit and I did not have time for alterations. I called my mom in a panic, and she recommended this amazing denim dress to me. My dad actually picked it out for her several weeks ago, but didn’t end up purchasing it because of the steep price tag. Luckily, it went on major sale on Neiman Marcus during the friends & family sale, so I made the splurge. My mom and I are the same exact size, so it is now hanging in her closet for her to wear next! I love that we get to share our closets! My sister’s dress is actually the one I wore for my Easter dress guide. It fit her perfectly, and we also ended up opting for matching wedges (#twinning).

I absolutely LOVED my graduation dress. I never originally imagined a denim dress for the big day, but it was so perfect. I love the beautiful, white embroidery and the shift/fit-flare fit. I paired it with neutral wedges and white, beaded earrings! It definitely runs true to size, which was nice. I definitely have to give my dad full credit for his awesome pick!

All in all, it was a perfect day and a perfect last page of an unforgettable chapter.

I hope you are having a wonderful Monday!!

xoxo,

Mackenzie
