December Favorites

Happy New Year! Can you believe it’s 2017?! Thank you so much for all the support and love this past year. This past year definitely went by very quickly, and I could not be more optimistic or excited for these next twelve months.

Now that it’s officially January, I wanted to share a few of my favorite beauty products & favorite new purchases from December. I’ve been receiving a ton of positive feedback on my monthly favorite posts, so I thought I would continue with the series!

Velvet heels

These heels are not only fabulous and on trend, but they are also super affordable. They remind me a lot of these mega-tall velvet heels from Steve Madden. I absolutely love the shade of these heels as well. I purchased them to wear on NYE, but sadly I spent New Years Eve at urgent care getting x-rays on my foot (I’ll be posting a bit about that on my next post later this week)!

Regardless, I can’t wait to wear these heels. I love them so much, and I think they would be perfect for any formal event or night out!

Ruibal’s Plants

This is a bit of a random favorite, but I recently discovered the cutest shop in Dallas, Texas. I actually found this plant store via Instagram, so my sister and I decided to check it out during a recent trip into the city. All the employees were so sweet, and we had so much fun checking out the adorable store.

If you are looking for a cute gift for a friend or love collecting plants like I do, this plant store is a great place if you live in the DFW area. I couldn’t resist picking up the cutest little cactus in a coffee mug! I will definitely be back the next time I am in Dallas.

Birkenstock sandals

I never thought I would ever purchase Birkenstock sandals, but yes, I caved in. After hearing so many positive things about them from friends and family, I figured they would be the perfect Christmas gift to myself. And surely enough, I do really love them. They may not be the most stylish shoe on the planet, but there is no denying that they are beyond practical and comfortable!

Ole Henriksen truth serum collagen booster

This has been my favorite skin care product this past year. I have been through probably five bottles of this stuff, and it is something I will definitely keep repurchasing. I apply it twice a day, and I find that it really helps my skin look very hydrated and healthy (without any breakouts). It’s even one of the best selling products at Sephora! I purchased a bottle for my mom this Christmas, and my sister picked up a bottle for herself as well. I could not recommend this product enough!

Jeffree Star liquid lipstick

I watch Youtube quite a lot (maybe a little more than I should admit), and I have heard countless positive reviews about the Jeffree Star liquid lipsticks. I have tried so many liquid lipsticks on the market and haven’t been 100% happy with any. After deciding to order this one a few weeks ago, I can now see that I am really happy with the formula! I also really enjoy the color selection as well. I purchased mine in the shade ‘Leo’, but I would definitely order another in the future! I wore ‘Leo’ a ton during my trip to India/Nepal, and I was so happy with the longevity and shade.

Buxom ‘sarina’ lip polish

I have purchased several Buxom lip polishes over the years. Not only do they have the cutest packaging and the best scent, but they also have a great selection of natural, wearable shades. I decided to pick up this gorgeous, bronzy shade called ‘sarina’. It’s described as a chocolate sparkle. It has the slightest tingling effect and really compliments a tan as well! My sister also purchased the same lipgloss as well in the same shade. Even if this shade isn’t necessarily your cup of tea, I would highly recommend Buxom lip products in general. The color shade is fantastic, and the formula is fantastic too!

Bobbi Brown shimmer brick

The Bobbi Brown shimmer bricks are absolutely breathtaking. They don’t look like much in the pan, but on the skin, they create a beautiful, glowing effect. I have two now in the shades ‘Rose’ and ‘Bronze’. Both are gorgeous, but I prefer the Rose shade for winter and Bronze for summer. I love that I can wear them with tinted moisturizer on a natural day or with a glam makeup look. They make your skin look very radiant! In my opinion, they are totally worth the splurge.

Revlon kiss lip balm

I picked up this product on a whim during a trip to Target with my mom. When I picked up this tinted lip balm, I honestly didn’t expect anything too wonderful. But boy, did this product surprise me. I now own three of these , but ‘berry burst’ is definitely my favorite. They have such a lovely, subtle tint to them, and I think they smell really nice! I prefer the darker shades definitely add some more color to the lips. I also find this product to be moisturizing as well![/ezcol_1half_end]
