Blue & White Embroidered Top

TOP embroidered top (under $30- also comes in red/white) | JEANS free people busted jeans (true to size + under $100) | EARRINGS blue tassel earrings (on sale- under $25) | WEDGES espadrille wedges (cheaper, similar option here) | CLUTCH neutral oversized clutch (linked similar)

Y’all. This shirt is E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G. When it comes to shopping, I tend to be more of a quality over quantity girl myself (okay, sometimes quality and quantity, but hey, I am working on it). I took a peek at Forever21 the other day and fell in love with SO many of their most recent pieces- this embroidered top included! It screams summer. I wore this outfit a few days ago to my cousin’s preschool graduation and a family lunch. For a casual look, I paired the blouse with my favorite skinny jeans, espadrille wedges, blue statement earrings, and a neutral clutch. Now that I have graduated college, I am trying to look the part a little and dress a tad bit more polished on a daily basis (aka not wearing pajamas in public anymore).

I ordered this blouse in a size small, and I totally think it runs true to size. Is it bad that I am dying to purchase it in the other color too? It’s just so cute and beautiful for the season! I also picture it with little denim shorts, a floppy hat, and lace up sandals for a hot summer day (boy, am I not going to miss those muy calienté Texas summers. My hair is ready to get away from this humidity). I’ll admit it- I am such a sucker for anything and everything embroidered. Most embroidered pieces tend to be on the pricy side, so I was excited to finally find the perfect, affordable top! I can’t wait to wear it all summer!

xoxo,

Mackenzie

  1. Hi Mackenzie! I was wondering how you like those wedges? I have had my eye on them but haven’t splurged quite yet!

    1. Hi Phoebe! Those are actually my mom’s (I borrowed them because all my shoes were at my grandparents house during the moving process from MS back to TX). I own the Steve Madden dupes. I honestly think the Marc Fisher wedges are significantly more comfortable- which is what I would expect for the price tag. I have borrowed them several times from my mom, and they are really comfortable and easy to walk in. My mom wears them all the time- they are her faves! I personally love my dupes, but if you are looking for high quality, comfortable wedges- you will love the Marc Fishers! 🙂 hope that could answer your question a bit!
