Better in Blush

It is no secret that blush has been SUCH a hot color these past few months, and I am not complaining about it. Pink is definitely one of those colors you either love to wear or absolutely hate (and hate w/ a passion). However, blush is such an awesome shade because it really works for absolutely any style. One of my favorite things about blush is that it verges on the edge of being a neutral color. Working in San Francisco has made me really appreciate comfortable, practical shoes- specifically sneakers. I was on the hunt for some new tennis shoes that were comfortable, but still a little bit stylish (at least stylish enough to pair with anything from jeans to dresses). When I spotted these gems from Steve Madden, I knew they were exactly what I had in mind. Though they come in several wearable colors, I had to go with the blush.  I don’t wear pink too, too often, but I really do love any pastel shade- muted blush included. I personally think blush is such a lovely shade for summer time, though we tend to picture bold, bright hues for the warmer months. If you love neutrals, you will love blush. It also looks stunning with a tan. Today, I wanted to share a few of my favorite blush accessories for summer!

ONE suede platform slide-on sneaker (I just ordered- they are coming Tuesday & I am pumped) // TWO ‘bare sparkle’ lipgloss // THREE ombre tassel earrings (under $40) // FOUR metallic slides (under $60) // FIVE ankle tie espadrille sandals // SIX square sunglasses (under $60) // SEVEN nars liquid highlighter (awesome mixed into foundation and lotions) // EIGHT tote bag (under $100) // NINE marble phone case (under $25) // TEN envelope clutch (under $100) // ELEVEN western booties (under $100) // TWELVE marble cat eye sunglasses (under $15) // THIRTEEN velvet western belt (under $100)

Blush pairs beautifully with a variety of different prints and colors. I love the color paired with denim, black, white, animal print, gingham (specifically navy/blue gingham!) and nudes. It adds just a little touch of something to any outfit, without too much saturation. I definitely plan on adding a little more blush to my wardrobe this season!

xoxo,

Mackenzie
